Greek Prime Minister"s visit to Baku canceled
The airplane of the Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras made ??an emergency landing at the airport near Athens Elefsina shortly after takeoff, according to AP. As a result could be derailed his important visit to Baku, during which documents must be signed concerning gas supplies.
The reason was the suspected fault of the management systems. The flight lasted about 15 minutes, according to ITAR -TASS. After landing, which , according to the press service of the government , was held in the normal mode, ground services checked the technical condition of the government aircraft. In addition, a test flight was made , however, in the end, it was decided to abandon the use of this particular aircraft.
According to Greek reporters, to find another plane for the Prime Minister was impossible . As a result, his visit to Baku was canceled. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change Yiannis Maniatis .
The Greek delegation had intended to sign the agreement in Baku on Trans Adriatic Pipeline and production of natural gas in the field Shah Deniz -2 , as well as an agreement on the privatization of the gas transportation network operator, the Greek company DESFA. - 0 -
