Head of Election Monitoring and Democracy Training Center Anar Mammadli arrested for three months (UPDATED-Video)

The head of the Election Monitoring and Democracy Training Center (TSMVOD - abbreviation) Anar Mammadli was detained. Today, about 16.30, the Executive Director of TSMVOD Bashir Suleymanli and the head of the partner NGO for international cooperation of volunteers Elnur Mammadov were summoned to the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor for Serious Crimes. In late October, it launched an investigation against TSMVOD on tax evasion, illegal entrepreneurship and abuse of office.
Two hours after the call to the prosecutor Suleymanli and Mammadov were released. After some time, they were called and the appointed counsel reported that Mammadov was arrested and was being taken to the Nasimi District Court for preventive measure.
Note that TSMVOD monitored the presidential election on October 9 and recorded numerous violations of the law.
