Gubad Ibadoglu calls on authorities to disclose details of Karabakh talks
Baku /21.01.19/Turan: The Movement for Democracy and Prosperity (MDP) issued a statement on the negotiations on the Karabakh settlement.
After the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Paris on January 16, the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group made a statement on arrangements for the parties to prepare for peace. This was reflected in the message of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on the results of the meeting.
The MDP, being a supporter of peace negotiations, at the same time, protests the closed nature of the negotiation and negotiation process without discussion and coordination with the people, the statement said.
In this regard, the MDP put forward the following requirements:
1) The authorities should provide a complete and clear explanation of the details of the "preparation for the peace process;
2) The "peace plan" considered at the talks should be presented to the people;
3) The solution of the Karabakh problem should be only within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan;
4) No peace agreement contrary to the Constitution of Azerbaijan and the will of the people should be signed;
In the event of the breakdown of negotiations on the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, the MDP calls the authorities for military operations to liberate Karabakh, the statement said.
The MDP was created in February 2015 by a group of opposition politicians. The organization is headed by the famous economist Gubad Ibadoglu. -06D-
