Head of Shirvan Branch of Musavat Party Detained
Baku / 23.11.17 / Turan: The chairman of the Shirvan branch of the Musavat Party Aliakram Hurshudov was detained by the police on the evening of November 22.
As Turan was told in the Musavat party, the reason for the detention is unknown. It was not possible to get explanations in the police. Hurshudov was not brought to court yet.
Sources in Musavat link the detention with the recent publication of Hurshudov's Facebook status about how the residents of Shirvan are forced to join the ruling New Azerbaijan Party. In all likelihood, his detention is connected with this circumstance. -05D-
