Court Did Not Reinstate Dismissed Deputy Chairman of Democratic Party
Baku / 23.11.17 / Turan: On November 22, the Nasimi district court of Baku did not satisfy the suit of the deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Hasrat Rustamov for his dismissal from the post of a doctor of the Baku ambulance station.
Rustamov was fired after taking part in a rally of the National Council of Democratic Forces on September 23. In the statement of claim he raised the issue of reinstatement at work and payment of wages for forced absence and compensation for moral loss, as well as punishment of those responsible for his dismissal.
The judge Parviz Huseynov did not satisfy the suit. At the same time, the court found "reasonable" the employer"s argument that Hasanov visited a patient for 15 minutes longer than he should.
Rustamov believes this argument is invalid. If even such a fact had taken place, then a warning would have been enough. In any case, he did not violate his professional duties and labor discipline. Rustamov believes he is being persecuted for political reasons. He will appeal the decision of the court. -06D-
