"Hero" of the sex scandal in the Ministry of Emergency Situations detained
Baku/18.08.22/Turan: A suspect in the distribution of an intimate video and photo of a number of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been detained, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported on August 18.
In the course of the investigation in connection with the distribution of intimate footage of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in a number of media, accounts on social networks, it was found that the assistant head of the State Fire Service, Colonel Zaur Mirzoyev installed a camera for covert filming in the office computer.
Using official and other dependence of employees, he has been working since 2013-2019. entered into sexual contact with women, leading video and photography of this. This led to the distribution of pornographic material in August 2022 on the Internet.
Roughly going beyond the scope of his powers, Mirzoyev committed acts of a criminal nature that entailed grave consequences, damaged the rights and legitimate interests of these persons, as well as the business reputation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
In fact, a criminal case under the Article 156.2.1 (violation of privacy), 242 (illegal distribution of pornographic materials or items) and 309.2 (abuse of official authority) of the Criminal Code.
Conducting a preliminary investigation is entrusted to the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office. On August 17, Mirzoyev was detained as a suspect.

On November 26, the Baku Court of Appeals reviewed the appeal of human rights defender Anar Mammadli, who contested the extension of his detention.
