Hikmet Hajiyev discussed security issues in Brussels
Baku/04.05.23/Turan: Discussions were held in Brussels on the expansion of cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan. This is stated in the message of the Azerbaijani delegation to the EU.
The discussions took place within the framework of the Fourth EU-Azerbaijan Security Dialogue with the participation of Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev and Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs of the EU External Relations Service Enrique Mora.
"The parties discussed common interests and expansion of cooperation, joint activities in the name of stability of the region," the message reads.
The day before, another high-level meeting was held in Brussels within the framework of the energy dialogue between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov discussed with EU Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson the prospects for gas production and export, green energy projects, cooperation with European financial institutions. -03B06-

Today, September 7, 2024, the second picket in support of Igbal Abilov was held in The Hague (Netherlands) in front of the Embassy of Azerbaijan. The event was organized by Igbal's friends and colleagues. During the picket, protesters continued to collect signatures for the petition and called on Azerbaijan authorities to stop persecution and free Igbal. This is the second rally in support of Abilov in Europe.
