Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv Fired On
Baku / 07.11.20 / Turan: On November 7, at about 2:30 am (00:30 Baku time - ed.), the premises of the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv, located at 7 Yaroslav Mudry Street, were fired upon.
Six shots were fired. The window and the front door were broken. Since the office was empty at night, there were no casualties, according to the consulate's website.
CCTV cameras recorded two young men with weapons in their hands resembling a pistol with a silencer. A criminal case was initiated. Policemen of the Kyiv district of the city are investigating the case. -0-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
