Government to Help Entrepreneurs in Cities Shutting Down Due to COVID-19
Baku / 07.11.20 / Turan: According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan dated November 6 to tighten the quarantine regime from Saturday, November 7, and until November 23, amid a worsening epidemiological situation in 10 cities and regions of the country, the Ministry of Economy will provide a package of financial assistance to entrepreneurs.
As stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy, corresponding payments of salaries of employees will be made in the cities of Lankaran and Sheki, as well as in the Jalilabad, Bilasuvar, Gakh, Zagatala, Masalli, Ismayilli, Guba and Khachmaz regions.
In addition, individual entrepreneurs (micro-entrepreneurs) operating in these cities and regions will receive one-time financial support.
According to the Ministry of Economy, financial assistance will be provided to 1.9 thousand employees, as well as 13 thousand individual entrepreneurs. At the same time, the ministry clarifies that financial support will be provided to taxpayers who have not significantly reduced the number of employees over the past four months. T
In general, as of October 26, 2020, 204.6 million manats were transferred to the bank accounts of taxpayers in Azerbaijan within the first and second packages of financial assistance to pay part of the salaries of employees, and 77 million manats were transferred to provide one-time financial support to individual entrepreneurs. —0--
