Human rights organizations call on the United Nations Human Rights Council to influence Azerbaijan
On 23 February a large group of international human rights organizations sent an appeal on February 23 in the United Nations Human Rights Council calling to give an assessment of press freedom violations and the suppression of civil society in Azerbaijan.
The authors of the reference lists specific facts and incidents testifying to these violations, and call on the UN to give this assessment, and take the necessary action to prevent them.
The appeal was signed by : Freedom House, Front Line Defenders, Human Rights House Foundation Human Rights Watch, International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) People in Need.-16D-
