Ilham Aliyev congratulates Sardar Berdimuhamedov on his election as President of Turkmenistan
Baku/15.03.22/Turan: On March 15, the head of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, sent congratulations to Sardar Berdimuhamedov on his election as president of Turkmenistan. “Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to the development of ties with fraternal Turkmenistan, with which we are connected by historical, religious and cultural roots.
The high-level political dialogue in bilateral relations, and mutually beneficial cooperation in the economic, energy, transport and humanitarian fields are satisfying. I am sure that the Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan strategic partnership will continue to develop and benefit our peoples,” the message says. In conclusion, Aliyev invited the new head of Turkmenistan to visit Azerbaijan.
* Sardar Berdymuhammedov is the 41-year-old son of former head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov.
Until today, he served as Deputy Prime Minister, before that he was the Minister of Industry, the head of one of the regions of the country, Deputy Foreign Ministers and an employee of the representative office of Turkmenistan in the Geneva branch of the UNPO.
