Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the actions of the opposition during the war
Baku / 10.11.20 / Turan: "Those who criticized us and often criticized us unfoundedly showed an example of high consciousness during the war," said the head of state, Ilham Aliyev, in his address to the people on the night of November 10.
For the first time, he highly appreciated the actions of his political opponents, whom he systematically and harshly criticized for many years.
“There should be opposition, and this is normal in every democratic country, but there should be no opposition to statehood. You cannot live by the principle “the worse the state is, the better it is for me. But these days I saw that in national issues we can unite all, and this is very important for the future of the country,” he said.
Aliyev stressed that during the entire war period, official Baku was subjected to serious political pressure to end hostilities, but did not yield. National harmony and social cohesion helped withstand these pressures, he said.
“The time will come and I will publish some confidential questions on this topic,” he said. -02D-
