Ilham Aliyev: Karabakh Armenians are our citizens
Baku / 05.01.21 / Turan: “We have no problems with the Armenian people; the Armenians living in Azerbaijan are our citizens. The Armenians living in Karabakh also already understand that they can live normally only within the framework of the Azerbaijani state, stated the head of state Ilham Aliyev during a conversation with Minister of Culture Anar Kerimov.
He also touched upon the issue of the religious heritage of Karabakh and, in particular, the heritage of the Albanian Church. “The Khudaweng Church, liberated from the occupation, was returned to its true owners - our Udi brothers. The Armenians changed its name and changed its appearance, trying to Armenianize. The Udis have already celebrated a service in Khudaweng,” he said.
All Christian churches in Azerbaijan are protected by the state, restored and protected by the state, including Armenian ones. However, in the occupied territories, the Armenians destroyed more than 60 mosques, Aliyev said. -02D-
