Ilham Aliyev Meets with Nicolas Sarkozy
Baku / 15.01.19 / Turan: On January 15, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who was on a visit to Baku.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that in 2007-2012, when Nicolas Sarkozy was the President of France, the bilateral relations developed dynamically. Aliyev and Sarkozy recalled with satisfaction the meetings they had at that time. It was noted that it was their efforts to achieve new frameworks of cooperation in the field of education. As a result of the strengthening of high-level political ties in those years, many French companies began to operate or expanded their activities.
Nicolas Sarkozy expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown to him. President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, expressed joy at the fact that he again sees Nicolas Sarkozy in Azerbaijan, the report on the President"s website said. -06D--
