Ilham Aliyev received credentials of new Russian Ambassador
Baku/10.08.23/Turan: On Thursday, President Ilham Aliyev received credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan Mikhail Evdokimov.
During the conversation, it was noted that the bilateral friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are successfully developing in various directions: in the political, trade and economic, energy, transport, humanitarian spheres, in issues related to regional security, according to a statement on the website of the head of state.
It was also emphasized that "effective bilateral cooperation has been established within the framework of international organizations, and confidence expressed that bilateral ties will continue to develop successfully."
During the meeting, the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the current state of the negotiation process on the peace treaty was also touched upon.
The parties stressed the importance of projects in the energy and transport sectors, including the North-South transport corridor for regional development. -06B-
