Ilham Aliyev Receives Heads of Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry, Intelligence Service of Turkey

“This is my first meeting after the Victory, naturally, a meeting with my brothers. This morning I spoke with my dear Brother, Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan by phone, we talked and congratulated each other on a great victory, ”Aliyev said.
“During all these 44 days, we have always felt, the entire Azerbaijani people felt the support of fraternal Turkey and this is our common victory,” he continued.
During the conversation with the President of Turkey, an exchange of views took place on the work of the Turkish-Russian joint ceasefire control center, this is very important and this is a new format of interaction in the region. “We have always wanted Turkey and Russia to get the same role in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and today we have achieved this,” Aliyev said.
The center should be created in a short time, by the end of the month the Armenian forces should leave the occupied lands, the schedule has already been drawn up and the creation of such a center will be very important, Aliyev noted.
In turn, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu congratulated Azerbaijan on the victory, which showed the strength of the Turkic nation. Armenia has rejected proposals for a peaceful solution and now let them learn a lesson, he said.
