Baku/27.04.21/Turan: The revanchist forces that are raising their heads in Armenia are again putting forward territorial claims to Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev said this today, speaking at the opening of a military unit in the Jabrail region.
“During the Patriotic War, we showed who is who. An iron fist crushed the opponent's head. The provocation against our border guards, committed the other day on the Zangilan section of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, should be the last such attempt. We showed restraint and did not respond to the provocation. However, this is our final warning. If something like this happens again, the enemy will be destroyed on the spot,” he said, without specifying what kind of provocation he meant. -06D-

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
