Ilham Aliyev: We can destroy any military object of Armenians

Baku / 12.07.17 / Turan: The main component of Azerbaijan's foreign policy remains the solution of the Karabakh conflict, said the head of state Ilham Aliyev, on Wednesday at a meeting of the Cabinet. "Unfortunately, in the first half of this year, no progress has been achieved in this direction," he said. He condemned Karabakh separatists who, at the initiative of the Armenian authorities, held another illegal referendum, which no one in the world acknowledged. "Not recognizing this referendum means recognizing the belonging of Karabakh to Azerbaijan," Aliyev said. After the April war, the Armenians tried to put forward conditions for the continuation of the talks, but they could not achieve this. "Now it is necessary to resume substantive negotiations. The occupied territories should be liberated, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan should be restored, without this settlement it is impossible,"Aliyev said. Touching upon the current situation at the front, he noted that the recent aggravation of the situation was due to the fact that the Armenian side did not want to negotiate, and therefore organized a provocation at the front, and, in particular, the shelling of the village of Alkhanli on July 4."They expected that Azerbaijan would refuse negotiations, but we did not do it," Aliyev said.
