In case of disarmament, an amnesty may be applied to the separatists
Baku/18.09.23/Turan: On September 18, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry held a briefing for foreign diplomats accredited in Baku. Presidential Assistant Hikmet Hajiyev, Presidential Representative for Special Assignments Elchin Amirbekov and Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev addressed the diplomats, stating the following:
More than 10,000 Armenian servicemen continue to illegally stay on the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are stationed. They have more than a hundred tanks and other armored vehicles, more than two hundred heavy artillery installations, including multiple launch rocket systems, more than two hundred mortars and dozens of electronic warfare systems.
Contrary to its obligations, Armenia provides these forces with technical, military, logistical and financial support. They are financed from the state budget of Armenia.
The illegal use of electronic warfare systems against civilian aircraft of Azerbaijan and foreign countries is of concern. These interferences pose a serious threat to the safety of people and air traffic.
Armenia continues to install new mines on the territory of Azerbaijan after the conclusion of the truce in November 2020, 2,728 mines produced in Armenia in 2021 were discovered and neutralized.
1,119 mines were found in the border zone of the Kelbajar and Lachin districts, and 1,609 – in the Karabakh Economic region.
One of the reasons for the creation of the Lachin border checkpoint was precisely the prevention of these illegal military activities and smuggling.
Despite Armenia's recognition of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, its diplomatic missions accredited to various international organizations continue to issue documents on behalf of the separatist regime in Karabakh.
Azerbaijan demands that Armenia abandon its revanchist plans, stop violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, stop supporting separatism and terrorism in Karabakh.
Azerbaijan demands the immediate withdrawal of the personnel of the Armenian Armed Forces, the liquidation of military and so-called "government" structures, as well as the disarmament of the Armenian Armed Forces illegally stationed in Azerbaijan. In this case, amnesty can be applied to the "representatives" of the so-called regime. ---0---
