In Nakhchivan, Head of Julfa Department of PFPA Detained
On November 3 the opposition activist, leader of the district branch of the Popular Front Party Hijra Gasimov was detained in the Bananyar village of the Julfa region of Nakhchivan.
As the head of the Nakhchivan organization of PFPA Yasar Bagirsoy told Turan, Gasimov was bundled into a car and driven away. His whereabouts are unknown. Police did not provide information on the reasons for the detention of Gasimov or what he is accused of.
There are suspicions that he has been planted something and now they are forcibly making him recognize some guilt, local observers guess. -23B-
