In the confrontation between Moscow and Kiev, Baku should be on the side of Ukraine - expert assessment
Baku/22.04.21/Turan: The Center for National Strategic Thought (CNST) discussed the "aggressive policy of Russia against Ukraine", which led to the aggravation of the situation to a dangerous level, and in the South Caucasus region.
The participants in the discussions at the CNST noted with satisfaction "the Azerbaijani society fully supports the fraternal people of Ukraine."
The center also called on the Azerbaijani government "to express full support for the allied Ukraine." This would become not only reciprocity for Ukraine's support during the 44-day war of Azerbaijan's position, but would also serve the interests of Azerbaijan, the achievement of peace and tranquility in the region.
The support of the international community, and especially the United States and Turkey "should not be limited only to the protection of Ukraine from new occupation actions of Russia, but is aimed at ending the annexation of Crimea and the seizure of the east of the country," the CNST said.
* The center was established in 2015 as a "think tank" exploring the problems of domestic and foreign policy. It is headed by the former head of the Musavat party and ex-speaker of parliament, Isa Gambar. –06D-
