International players, especially France, are unfair to Azerbaijan – I. Aliyev
Baku/03.05.23/Turan: The international community, the United States and especially France are unfair to Azerbaijan and this was manifested in international documents regarding the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, stated by Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday, speaking to the participants of the international conference in Shusha.
In the USA, this was manifested in the 907th Amendment to the Freedom Act, the author of which was the Armenian lobby. On the other hand, it was the Minsk Group, which did nothing, but was interested in maintaining the status quo. Finally, this is France, which tried to revive the Minsk Group. Azerbaijan responded to all this by offering to support efforts to conclude peace with Armenia after the Second Karabakh War, Aliyev said.
"Unlike the United States and Russia, France has taken a pro-Armenian position and thereby excluded itself from any participation in negotiations or mediation. Moreover, the French Senate declared recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh, and official Paris made a number of anti-Azerbaijani statements and accusations at the UN, at the Francophonie Forum, etc. All this has isolated France from the settlement process and deprived it of the right to be a mediator who is obliged to be neutral," Aliyev stressed. ---02B---
