Iran sees no security problems on border with Azerbaijan
Baku/20.07.23/Turan: Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri stressed the principle of good neighbourliness and development of relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan: "Fortunately, our relations with Azerbaijan are developing and we do not have any problems in border and security issues."
During an inspection of air defence troops in the northwestern border areas in Iran's Julfa, on the Nakhchivan section of the border, Bagheri said economic relations between the two countries are developing and deepening day by day and this visit is only a periodic visit to the country's borders on an annual basis.
He assessed the security situation of the northwestern border regions of the country as favourable.
As a reminder, the Azerbaijan-Iran border has a total length of 689 kilometres. -0-

During the ongoing COP29 climate conference in Baku on November 14, a group of activists staged a protest condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The activists also denounced countries that supply oil and weapons to nations waging aggressive wars. The protest featured placards with slogans such as: "From fossil fuels to peace!", "End war crimes!", "Punish the aggressor!", and "Phase out fossil fuel use to achieve peace!" among others.
