Iran was behind attempted terrorist attack against Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan - E.Cohen
Baku/13.07.23/Turan: Iran was behind an attempted terrorist attack against the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan.
This is reported by "Times of Israel" with reference to Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen.
Allegedly, Cohen stated during his visit to Serbia that Tehran was responsible for an attempted terrorist attack against the Israeli Embassy.
He noted that the terrorist detained in Azerbaijan was financed by Iran and received instructions from there.
"Iran poses a global terrorist threat. We saw this once again with the attempted terrorist attack against the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan and the attempted attacks on Israelis and Jews in Cyprus and Greece," Cohen said.
On 10 July, Azerbaijan's State Security Service reported the detention of Fawzan Musa Khan, an Afghan citizen suspected of planning terrorist attacks, including against the Embassy of an unnamed foreign country.
The SSS released a video of the Afghan conducting surveillance in the area around the Hyatt Regency hotel complex, which houses the Israeli Embassy, among other institutions. -16В-
