Iranian Ambassador to Armenia visits Armenian-Azerbaijani border
Baku/03.08.21/Turan: On August 3, Iranian Ambassador to Yerevan Abbas Badakhshan Zokhuri and military attaché Colonel Bahman Sadegin, together with representatives of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, visited the Gegharkunik region (border with Kalbajar).
According to the Armenian Defense Ministry, the ambassador visited the border section near the village of Verin Shorja.
According to the same source, the ambassador expressed concern about the continuation of the border conflict and "stressed the need for restraint on both sides and the peaceful settlement of disputes between the two countries."
The ambassador also stated the need for "all parties to respect internationally recognized borders" and expressed Iran's readiness to promote peace in the region. -02D-
