Iranian President meets with the religious leaders of Azerbaijan
In the framework of the official visit to Azerbaijan, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani met yesterday with the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Department Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade and other religious figures.
According to Pashazade, the cooperation of the Azerbaijan and Iran connected with historical and religious ties serves the peace and stability, the development of the two states, the welfare of the peoples.
He stressed that Azerbaijan manifests special attention to the monuments of the Islamic religion. Rouhani, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan, he said that the ties between the two countries are at a high level. He said that bilateral relations are developing especially rapidly in recent years. Rouhani said that his regular meetings with the President of Azerbaijan are important for deepening relations between the two countries. -06D--
