Iranian Press Secretary Beaten in New York
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast was subjected to physical abuse in front of the UN headquarters in New York. He was beaten by a group of Iranian and Syrian opposition, according to the Turkish site Haber.com.
The opposition held a protest outside the United Nations building where the Iranian president was making a speech. Protesters demanded that Tehran stop supporting the Assad regime in Syria. Police took the Iranian Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry from the scene. -05D04-
