Iraq can take part in the restoration of Karabakh
Baku/30.10.23/Turan: Iraq is engaged in discussions regarding the potential involvement of its companies in the reconstruction efforts in the recently devastated territories of Azerbaijani Karabakh. The announcement came during the "Iraqi Turkmans and the Turkic World. Restoration of historical memory" conference held at the Center for the Study of International Relations in Baku.
Maki San Al-Mamori, Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Iraq in Azerbaijan, revealed that talks were underway concerning cooperation in specific areas with the Azerbaijani government. The conference, which commenced on October 30, provided a platform for these discussions.
Ambassador Al-Mamori unequivocally condemned what he termed "barbaric actions" by Armenia in Karabakh, Barda, and Ganja, characterizing them as terrorist acts.
During the conference, Arshad Saleh, a member of the Iraqi Parliament, emphasized the inauguration of a new phase in the relationship between Azerbaijan and Iraqi Turkmans. He conveyed a strong sense of unity, stating, "Our hearts have always been together. Dreams have come true. Common historical values and customs make us inseparable." This sentiment underscores the deep historical and cultural ties between the two nations.
The discussions surrounding Iraq's potential involvement in the reconstruction of Azerbaijani Karabakh reflect a growing international interest in assisting Azerbaijan in revitalizing the regions affected by the recent conflict.--0--
