It is Armenia that attracts mercenaries from PKK militants in Syria and Iraq - H. Hajiyev
Baku/31.10.20/Turan: A number of Armenian information resources, citing data from the official structures of Armenia, published a video about a Syrian "fighter" allegedly involved in military operations in the ranks of the Azerbaijani army and detained by the Armenian military.
For a month now, the Armenian side has been trying to prove that mercenaries are allegedly fighting from the Azerbaijani side, using unprofessionally filmed, fabricated videos and false information, said Presidential Aide, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev.
He noted that in the statements of President Ilham Aliyev in various foreign media, it was repeatedly emphasized that the purpose of these claims of Armenia, which had occupied the territory of Azerbaijan for many years, is to cast a shadow on the successful military operations of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, to damage the international authority of the country, standing at the forefront of the fight against international terrorism:
“In the one-minute video presented (by the Armenians), the footage was filmed many times and subsequently edited. Because of a linguistic examination of the interrogated person's speech, it was established that he is a Kurd of Syrian origin. This fact suggests that this person may be a member of the PKK. The participation of the PKK militants from Syria and Iraq in the Armenian Armed Forces is a fact. This person has difficulties with the presentation of the text that he memorized or pronounced with the help of a prompter. The second person participating in the interrogation and speaking Arabic is believed to be a Syrian Armenian,” the person said.
The "mercenary" is dressed in a military uniform similar to the uniform of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan. Armenian Defense Minister Tonoyan recently attended a meeting with a group of Armenian servicemen in the combat zone, among whom were two people dressed in similar military uniforms. Later, the Armenian Ministry of Defense removed this photo.
The state bodies of Azerbaijan have irrefutable evidence and operational information about the presence of foreigners and mercenaries in the Armenian military units, including activists of terrorist organizations from Syria, who are taking part in hostilities.
“It would be more useful if the Ministry of Defense and other official bodies of Armenia were not engaged in fabricating such fake scenarios, but informed the Armenian public about their defeats,” Hajiyev summed up.-06В-
