Russian Foreign Ministry named the condition for assisting to Armenia after Pashinyan's request
Moscow/31.10.20/Turan: Russia confirms its adherence to allied obligations and, in the event of fighting on the territory of Armenia, will provide it with the necessary assistance, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Thus, Moscow reacted to the appeal of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who today again asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to start consultations to determine what kind of assistance Moscow can provide to Yerevan.
The Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, concluded between the countries, "Presupposes specific actions in the event of a threat of armed attack or an act of aggression against each other's territory."
“In accordance with the agreement, Russia will provide Yerevan with all the necessary assistance if the clashes are transferred directly to the territory of Armenia,” the Foreign Ministry said.-02В-
