Italian company to supply warplanes to Azerbaijan
Baku/09.06.23/Turan: The Italian company "Leonardo" will deliver turboprop military transport aircraft "Leonardo C-27J Spartan" to the air forces of Azerbaijan. The "Leonardo" company reported that the Azerbaijani delegation visited Italy for signing of the agreement with the participation of high-ranking representatives of the Defense Ministers of the two countries.
It is to remind that the "C-27J Spartan" aircraft produced by "Leonardo" has proven itself in international practice in carrying out defensive and civil defensive missions in difficult geographical terrain and operational conditions. The C-27J acquisition program from "Leonardo", which has many years of experience in the most difficult operational scenarios, is the result of technical discussions between the Italian and Azerbaijani Ministries of Defense. This agreement is an integral part of the modernization program of the Azerbaijani armed forces, which pays more attention to Italian products," the Italian company said in a statement.
The report does not specify the number of aircraft to be supplied by the Italian company. A delegation of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense headed by the Deputy Minister visited Italy this week. -06d-
