Baku/12.05.23/Turan: On Friday, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the special representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations Igor Khovayev.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the process of normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, the course of negotiations on a peace agreement, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed during the meeting.
Bayramov drew attention to Azerbaijan's position and priorities in the negotiations on the peace agreement and Baku's expectations, and informed about Armenia's provocative steps undermining the peace process and negotiations.
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the region, and the readiness of the Russian side to support steps in this direction in every possible way.
The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, the message says.
Earlier, on May 10, Khovayev held talks in Yerevan with the leadership of Armenia. ---06D--
