Joint Residence of Armenians and Azerbaijanis in Karabakh Discussed in Geneva - David Shahnazaryan
Baku / 31.01.20 / Turan: Former head of the National Security Service of Armenia David Shahnazaryan in an interview with 168.am made a sensational statement about the content of the talks in Geneva between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“One of the central issues is the creation of zones for the joint settlement of Armenians and Azerbaijanis in Nagorno-Karabakh. First of all, the question of Shushi (Shusha – Ed.) is discussed, as well as the intensification of substantive negotiations. It is in this context, in parallel with the talks in Geneva, that the US Ambassador to Baku, Earl Litzenberger, met on his own initiative with the head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh, Tural Ganjaliyev,” said Shahnazaryan.
In turn, the Armenian Foreign Ministry in the person of press secretary Anna Naghdalyan hurried to refute Shakhnazaryan’s statement, saying that “David Shakhnazaryan’s analyzes can be attractive to the Azerbaijani side or the circles circulating them, but the main drawback of this analysis is that it has nothing to do with today's reality.” -02D-
