Artur Tovmasyan
Karabakh 'parliament' chairman resigns
Baku/29.07.23/Turan: Chairman of Karabakh "parliament" Artur Tovmasyan resigned on 29 July, Armenian media reported.
No reason for the resignation is reported. However, it is known that some time ago the members of the "parliament" adopted an appeal to the separatist leader Araik Harutyunyan to resign as "president" of Karabagh.
This appeal was also supported by Artur Tovmasyan; however, Harutyunyan ignored this call.
Tovmasyan's move is indicative of the continuing divisions among Karabakh separatist leaders and the escalating crisis of power. -0-
