Karabakh separatists try to derail Washington negotiation process
Baku/28.06.23/Turan: The so-called "parliament" of the separatist regime in Karabakh has appealed to the Armenian Foreign Ministry's delegation in Washington to "immediately halt" the talks with Azerbaijan until a full ceasefire is established on the line of contact. This was reported by Armenian media.
The authors of the appeal demand from the Armenian delegation to secure "documented guarantees" of a ceasefire. Otherwise, according to the separatists, "continuation of negotiations will mean encouragement of aggressive behavior of the Azerbaijani side and privilege at the international level".
The separatists also appealed to Russia to "stop the anti-human, genocidal actions of Azerbaijan with the most stringent measures".
The "parliament" of the illegal regime appeals to the UN Security Council and the heads of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries, "in addition to expressions of sympathy, exhortations and advice, to take concrete practical steps, in particular to apply sanctions against Azerbaijan, curbing its aggressive ambitions."
This morning, the separatists reported the killing of 4 Armenian soldiers by the Azerbaijani army in Agdere and Khojavand. Earlier, in the evening of June 28 Armenians attacked Azerbaijani positions in the direction of Galaychilar village of Agdam region, as a result of which a soldier Bakirov Ali Shukur oglu was wounded.
Add that talks between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia have been launched in Washington the previous day and are due to continue until 29 June. -06В-
