Kyrgyzstan refuses to participate in joint CSTO exercises in Tajikistan
Baku/11.10.22/Turan: On October 11, a joint exercise of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) "Frontier-2022" started on the territory of Tajikistan without one of the members of this organization - Kyrgyzstan.
Today, the state agency KirTAG reported that the military from Kyrgyzstan will not take part in the joint CSTO exercises in Tajikistan. As noted, the department did not give details, but confirmed the fact. The CSTO was established in 2002 and includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia.
The theme of the exercise of the current exercise: "Preparation and conduct of combat operations of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) to destroy illegal armed groups that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state."
The special-purpose forces of the member countries of the organization take part in the exercises, which started at the Kharbimaidon training ground. The active phase of the exercise will take place from 17 to 21 October.—0—
