Lavrov discussed with Bayramov the implementation of the Declaration on Allied Interaction
Baku/21.03.22/Turan: On March 21, a telephone conversation took place between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
Jeyhun Bayramov and Sergey Lavrov discussed the current situation in the region, as well as the implementation of the tripartite statements of November 10, 2020 and January 11, 2021.
The ministers exchanged views on the situation around Ukraine, as well as other issues of mutual interest, the report said.
In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that during the conversation they discussed "the implementation of the provisions of the Declaration on Allied Interaction signed on February 22 by the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan."
As well the ministers considered the implementation of the "key" provisions of the tripartite agreements of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, as well as the conclusion of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The parties also discussed further steps within the framework of the regional platform "3 + 3" (Azerbaijan - Armenia - Georgia + Russia - Iran - Turkey).
On the same day, Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. The importance of the strict implementation of the trilateral agreements between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia dated November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, including the early launch of the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the unblocking of transport and economic ties in the region, was reaffirmed. The issue of concluding a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan was touched upon, to which Russia is ready to assist in every possible way, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports. -02D-
