Leaders of seoaratists do not want to recognize the presence of a checkpoint in Lachin
Baku/01.05.23/Turan: Azerbaijan continues to block Karabakh and creates obstacles and threats to the unhindered movement of people and goods, stated the "State Minister" of Karabakh Gurgen Nersisyan.
Referring to the video about the Karabakh Armenians crossing the Border Checkpoint in Lachin, he said that they were residents of four Armenian villages in the Shusha region. They were returning from Armenia and "did not know" about the presence of a border checkpoint and were "unexpectedly" stopped by Azerbaijani officers.
The activity of the border checkpoint is illegal. "The movement between Karabakh and Armenia is organized and accompanied exclusively by Russian peacekeeping troops and the International Committee of the Red Cross."
Thus, the separatist leaders do not want to recognize the activities of the border checkpoint and demand that the peacekeepers eliminate it. This is exactly what the leaders of Karabakh demanded from the commander of the peacekeepers Lentsov.
According to some reports, Lentsov is heading to Baku, where he will have meetings with the leadership of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry. According to the Armenian media, he promised to persuade Baku to allow Russian peacekeepers to the Lachin border checkpoint and conduct a joint inspection of people and cargo crossing the border. ---02B---
