Local elections in Karabakh is nothing more than a show
Baku/06.09.19/Turan: The holding of the so-called "local elections" by the puppet regime in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan is nothing more than a show, stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Leyla Abdullayeva, commenting on media reports about the September 8 "elections" to the "local government" in Karabakh. "Elections" in conditions of military aggression, occupation, continuous ethnic cleansing and other illegal actions are not recognized and will not be recognized by the international community," Abdullayeva said.
She recalled that the international community, including the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, unequivocally declares their non-recognition of all the "elections" held to this day in Karabakh and their results. All the efforts of Armenia and the Armenian lobby to achieve recognition of the illegal regime fail, as happened recently in Australia. The Australian Foreign Ministry on its official website reiterated its support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the non-recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh as an "independent state.
" An attempt to present the participation of observers from the puppet regime in the land elections in Germany also failed. In connection with these reports, the German Foreign Ministry officially informed the Azerbaijani Embassy that these media insinuations have no grounds and that Berlin will not recognize either Nagorno-Karabakh or the "elections" there, Abdullayeva noted. -06D-
