Mahmud Mammadguliyev Visits Armenia
Baku / 26.06.18 / Turan: The Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmud Mammadguliyev will visit Armenia, the Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hikmat Hajiyev said.
According to him, the 38th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) will be held in Armenia on June 27. Azerbaijan will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister at that meeting.
After the meeting in Armenia, the BSEC chairmanship will pass to Azerbaijan in accordance with the rotation rules. Mahmud Mammadguliyev will take the chair in Yerevan.
The BSEC was established in 1992. Azerbaijan has been a founding member of the organization since then.
Within the BSEC framework, Azerbaijan is focused on trade, customs, transport, energy, environment, information and communication, science and technology, etc. It emphasizes the importance of developing cooperation based on mutual interests.
At present, Azerbaijan fulfills its functions as a coordinating country within two working groups (WG) within the BSEC (Customs WG and Science and Technology WG). -0-
