Poisoning of Cotton Growers in Saatli
Baku / 26.06.18 / Turan: According to local residents of Saatli, who called Turan, poisoning occurred in the daytime on a cotton field located in the village of Azadkend. About 20 cotton farmers were taken to the district hospital. The poisoned people are residents of the Shirinbeyli village. The causes of their poisoning are still unknown. Presumably the poisoning was from food.
"Coming to the plantation every morning, cotton growers shop at the store, which is located on their way. Usually they buy frozen frankfurters and sausage, so it is quite possible that these foods caused the poisoning," residents of the village believe. It was not possible to obtain confirmation from the local officials.
The deputy representative of the executive power in the Azadkend village Mirali Nurushov said he does not have information about the poisoning of cotton growers.
It was not possible to obtain information in the Saatli district hospital.
