Malena Mard: EU mission following the case of Hasan Huseynli
The EU mission is following the situation surrounding the arrest of the civil society activist Hasan Huseynli in Ganja, the head of the mission in Azerbaijan, Malena Mard, told the media today.
"So far we only know that he is accused of hooliganism and we will monitor how much these charges are justified or how the case is investigated," she said.
The diplomat noted that she is concerned by the fact of the arrest, because the mission knows Huseynli and his organization and cooperates with this NGO. Therefore, the charges of hooliganism look strange, she said. -03B-
