Mammadyarov and Lavrov discuss the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border
Baku/13.07.20/Turan: The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation - Elmar Mammadyarov and Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation today.
Mammadyarov informed his Russian counterpart about the suppression of the attack of the Armenian Armed Forces in the Tovuz region on the state border, about the tension in the region, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reports.
The provocation of Armenia is aimed at even greater escalation of tension in the region, involving third countries in the conflict, the Azerbaijani minister said.
Pointing to the inadmissibility of the use of force by Armenia, Mammadyarov emphasized that Azerbaijan will continue to give a worthy rebuff to such incidents. During the telephone conversation, it was noted that the OSCE is directly involved in the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and both sides are full members of this organization.
Lavrov pointed out the inadmissibility of increasing tension in the region and noted the importance of taking the situation under control. –06D-

The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
