Mazahir Panahov Declines to assess Hafiz Hajiyev Actions
The "Independent Media Center" of the presidential election opened today in the Hilton Hotel. After the opening ceremony, the CEC chairman, Mazahir Panahov, held a press conference, and said that all conditions have been created for transparent and democratic elections.
High-speed Internet is a relevant condition in the press center for journalists, Panahov said.
According to him, on Election Day, 5,145,000 voters can vote at almost 5.5 million sites; 20% of them are equipped with webcams; 40,000 observers have been registered, including 1,300 international observers from 50 organizations.
Regarding debates, Panahov described the situation on air "usual" for the civilized world, deviating from the estimates of insults and threats of Hafiz Hajiyev gave against the opposition.
At the same time, Panahov spoke of the inadmissibility of insulting the honor and dignity of the President, and had a strong warning for Jamil Hasanli.-05C-
