Media Development Agency to spend AZN 160,000 on events in regions
Baku/01.11.22/Turan: Following the results of open tenders, the Media Development Agency signed two contracts for services with a total value of 160,000 manats with the travel company "VEGA TRAVEL MANAGEMENT" LLC.
According to the information on the public procurement website https://etender.gov.az/, an agreement for 93,695 manats was concluded for the project implementation: “Organization of events directed to ensuring the active participation of young people in the process of media development, their assimilation of knowledge in this area, as well as their education in the spirit of the traditions of statehood and patriotism, increasing the sense of social responsibility.
The contract worth 67,889.88 manats was concluded for the project as follows: "Organization of a cycle of events for the development of regional media subjects, establishment of relationships with representatives of regional media, their familiarization with modern trends observed in this area and innovative solutions, as well as disclosure of truths die to the liberated territories and making them available to the public.
The projects include holding events in five-star hotels in the regions of the country, as well as visiting the liberated territories.
According to the message on the website of "VEGA TRAVEL MANAGEMENT" LLC, the company was established in 2019. According to information from the state register of commercial legal entities, its authorized capital is 10 manats.
Media expert, editor of "Azadlyg" newspaper Rovshan Hajibeyli doubted the effectiveness of these projects.
“I wonder for which regional media these events will be held? There are no independent publications left in the regions. The last printed editions were "Janub Khabarlyari" in Masalli and "Mingachevir Ishiglari" in Mingachevir, but they switched to electronic format a long time ago. In this situation, such projects in the regions are a formality, creating the appearance of work to support the press in the regions.
The Media Development Agency actually repeats the style of work of its predecessor, the State Media Support Fund. Therefore, there is no need to talk about any effectiveness of the public funds,” Hajibayli said. -06B-
