Media Rights Institute: Stop harassment of Akram Aylisli
The Institute of Media Rights (IMR) condemns the campaign of harassment that is deployed against the writer Akram Aylisli.
The statement of the NGO said that the campaign is political and well organized
"All this is a serious threat to artistic creation in the country," it said in a statement.
"Unfortunately, in this campaign of blackening actively involved are several dignitaries. TV channels also, in violation of journalistic ethics and balance, cover the topic in a sided and biased way, taking an active part in the campaign of persecution of the writers," is said in the statement.
"Despite the obvious violations of the law on television and radio, there is evidence of defamation and hate speech, while the National Radio and Television Council does not intervene in the situation and is watching it from the sidelines," the document says.
The Director of IMR Rashid Hajili believes that criticism could regard every opinion and position, but it does not constitute a violation of the rights of others, propagation of hate or xenophobia.
IMR demanded putting an end to this dirty campaign against the writer and ensuring his safety and the safety of his family. -03D-
