Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia Scheduled for Mid-January
Baku / 20.12.17 / Turan: The next meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia is expected to be held in the middle of January in one of the European countries. This was stated today by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov at a press conference following the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran.
According to him, the ministerial talks in Vienna lasted more than 9 hours. He noted that the parties discussed ways to harmonize issues on which there are contradictions.
"We are waiting for proposals from the co-chairs, for the next meeting. It is important for us that the negotiations are fruitful," Mammadyarov said.
In turn, Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Çavuşoğlu said Turkey will support any decision acceptable to Azerbaijan.
Armenia should first withdraw its troops from Azerbaijani lands and respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in order to normalize relations with Turkey. -06D--
