Member of Jewish Diaspora Evda Abramov Died
Baku / 07.12.19 / Turan: On December 6, after a serious illness at the 72nd year of his life, the deputy of Milli Majlis, deputy chairman of the standing human rights commission Evda Abramov, died. A few days ago he was admitted to the Central Clinical Hospital in serious condition.
Evda Abramov was a representative of Mountain Jews from the village of Krasnaya Sloboda, Guba district. A teacher of history by profession, he once headed the municipality of Krasnaya Sloboda. Since 2005, he was a member of the Parliament of Azerbaijan. -02D-

A bipartisan group of U.S.lawmakers, led by Republican Congressman Joe Wilson, the Chairman of U.S. Helsinki Commission, on Friday announced the reintroduction of the MEGOBARI Act, as well as their intention to introduce “Georgia Nightmare Non-Recognition Act.” Both bills will push for sanctions against Georgian Dream officials while the latter will also prohibit the recognition of the Russian-backed government's legitimacy, TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.

In response to a query by Voice of America regarding a report by the Turan news agency about an AZAL flight encountering radio interference and GPRS disruptions while flying over Astrakhan on January 1, the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) issued a statement. The airline assured that the Baku-Kazan flight operated on schedule and adhered to international safety standards. However, the statement did not directly address claims of radio interference and GPRS issues.
