Member of Pashinyan's team confirmed that Yerevan intends to sign a peace agreement with Aliyev
Baku/06.09.22/Turan: The day before, the Prime Minister of Armenia held a closed meeting with members of his party and deputies, where he announced his intention to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan by the end of the year.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan confirmed to journalists the fact of the meeting and Pashinyan's statement. He evaded the question of the timing of the signing of the peace treaty, noting: "We are working in this direction, meetings are being held."
He made an important remark that Armenia is not interested in the delay. “Now we are in such a situation when we have no chance to play for time,” the Armenian edition of "Radio Liberty" quoted Kocharyan as saying.
A day earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan again raised the issue of the status of Karabakh, the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group in the negotiations and Baku's desire to disrupt the peace process. --02D--
