Mirzoyan complained to Lavrov about the aggravation of the situation
Baku/02.08.22/Turan: On August 2, a telephone conversation took place between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the implementation of the trilateral agreements at the highest level of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021.
"The commitment to their comprehensive and effective implementation was confirmed, in particular in terms of launching project activities to unblock transport and economic ties in the South Caucasus, delimit the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and normalize relations between Yerevan and Baku," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In turn, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said that Mirzoyan and Lavrov also discussed "the current security situation in the region."
“There was an exchange of views on the humanitarian problems created as a result of the 44-day war. In this context, the importance of the release and return of Armenian prisoners of war and other detainees was mutually noted,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. --02D--
